André Smits has been a well knowned name in Brabant and Dutch pigeon racing for many years. Every year, he manages to rank in the Provincial and National
championships, and the NPO victories he has already won are too numerous to count. André built his colony with the very best from Leo Heremans from Vorselaar, mostly via Mario & Axel Verschueren from Zoersel in Belgium, who had the very best from Leo in their lofts. One of André's most famous pigeons
from these lines was “Super Mario”, 1st Nat. Ace Pigeon Middle Distance WHZB/TBOTB '15. These superb bloodlines were later successfully crossed with top birds from John Rockx, Leon Kools, Sjef Verhoeven & zn, Gebr. Leideman via Comb. Heeren and a top breeder from Johan Den Hartog, who became the father of “Miss Melun” – 1st NPO Melun – 4,720 p. Due to work pressure and recurring back problems, Andre has decided to offer the breeders and racers in a nice auction until 2024, including the parents of NPO and Section winners !
